...I woke up this morning, and I saw an unbelievable amount of messages in my inbox. When I looked at the front page, I saw this deviation on it. I just... Words cannot express how happy I am right now, and how grateful I am that so many people liked this, and passed it around for others to see over 5 thousand times. This has been one of the goals in my life, ever since I got a, and I cannot thank you all enough for getting me there. Thank you, very very very much. ; 3 ;

To the pokemon fans, who dislike MLP, sorry that I crossed your most favorite, with your least favorite. I know ponies aren't for everyone, and I mean no disrespect. Being a fan of Pokemon, I combined these two on a whim, and did not expect it to become as popular as it did. I do have a section in my gallery dedicated to just pokemon, and will be working on an unponyfied version of this wallpaper in the future. c:

Edit: The hidden comments are spam that people are posting, not because anything negative that has been said. Sorry for the confusion~

Since everyone seems to be asking for this as a wall paper, I tried my best to make one.

...Once again, it did not turn out like how I wanted. x_x God, I'm so lazy.

Feel free to use it, but if you decide to post this anywhere, please link back to this original deviation.

Wow those fit perfectly together and with the yin yang symbolism. This is considering that the Bell Tower in Johto represents awakening and the Sun which Celestia brings morning and life to Equestria just as Ho oh ressurected the three pokemon later known to be Raikou from the lightening that struck the tower, Entei from the fire that burned the tower, and Suicune from the rain that put out the fire. Lugia fits with Luna since Lugia is associated with the moon and when pokemon slumber which the Brass Tower was. Even more is that Lugia is the Gaurdian of the Sea and lives in the oceans whose tides are controlled by the moon. Both celestial bodies are vital to life on the planet in many ways. Lugia and Ho oh are pokemon in Johto which has alot of influence of Japanese culture and the yin yang from Taoism in Asia. Princess Celestia and Princess Luna needed each other too seeing how Celestia must have missed her sister dearly after having to make a difficult decision in sealing Nightmare Moon which to me is the equivalent of Primal Dialga as both are corrupted forms of powerful beings that threatened to bring out perpetual darkness. Celestia must have felt lonely during the thousand years and probably looked up to the moon promising her sister that she will find a way to get her back. The arrival of Twilight Sparkle and the rest of the mane six must have gave her hope since they ended up as the new bearers of the elements of harmony.

But... They both have wings.... Why do they need help to fly?
SeaAndSunshine Featured By Owner Feb 28, 2013  Hobbyist General Artist
They don't, it's not an every day thing. They just enjoy riding them, and they probably fly much faster than they do. Besides, why do we ride horses, or drive cars when we can just as easily walk?
