Pokemon Crossover Origins ch.1

Once upon a time, in the land of Equestria...

Two sisters were born, and they were blessed with great power. They were born in a world where creatures with incredible abilities lived alongside Earth-Ponies, Unicorns and Pegasi. Although the Ponies were not as powerful, their intelligence separated them from these creatures, which were called Pokemon. The only ones with enough power to match them were these sisters, and they were accepted as the Ponies leaders and Princesses.

For a short time, they lived together, but not harmoniously. The ponies found a way to capture and train these Pokemon to benefit them, but they do so without restriction, treating the Pokemon more as slaves.

In time, two types of Pokemon, both of whom share similarities with the ponies, separated, and began to revolt. The Zebstrika evolution line, and the Rapidash evolution line, felt the need for justice and freedom, and they sought out their legendary guardians to their aid. Their legendaries, which were Pokemon with powers over nature itself, and wisdom higher than that of Ponies, have been watching the unjust treatment of the Pokemon, and agreed to help the revolt. Virizion, Cobalion, and Terrakion, soon waged war against the ponies.

This war went on for years, destroying many lives and land. The Legendary equines soon found their powers were best used rescuing and saving Pokemon from war rather than using them to fight, but there seemed no end to the violence.

The Princesses knew this war was pointless, but even they could not sway their subjects to stop. The Ponies felt threatened of the Pokemon's powers, and if they do not use them, the Zebstrika and Rapidash can reign over them all. The Eldest princess understood her subjects terror, and tried to think of another way. But, it was the youngest who found the solution...

During the biggest, and most dangerous battle of the war, as the ponies and pokemon prepared to charge, a bright light blinded them all. The very sun seemed to fall upon them from above. But it was no sun. It was the Legendary bird, Ho-oh, who pulled up flames from the ground and stopped each side from attacking, destroying the Pony's weapons and chains they had over the Pokemon. Then, over the light, a large shadow flew over them, looming right above the very center of the battlefield, as a heavy rain washed down on them, taking out the flames once the weapons were destroyed, and keeping the Rapidashes at bay. The shadow was cast by the Legendary bird, Lugia, who landed beside Ho-oh.

Although the Pokemon bowed their heads in respect, the Ponies yelled and shouted at them, terrified from their power. It wasn't until the Princesses stepped off from the Legendary birds backs, did they become silent.

The sisters spoke to both the Ponies and the Pokemon, how they should stop the fighting, and live together in balance and harmony. But neither side felt balance and harmony in each other's existence. They each felt the other had something that gave them an unfair advantage over the other. But the youngest proposed a compromise. The Ponies were allowed to have Pokemon as their partners, not slaves. They are friends for them to grow together with, and help strengthen. By respecting one another, and using each other's advantages to promote everyone's better living, they will see all tensions become eradicated. They had gone to ask for any input from the Legendaries that rule over the Pokemon, and they feel this compromise is fair, and just.

The Ponies, and Pokemon, felt satisfied with this idea, but the Zebstrika and Rapidash were not happy. After all the brutality they had witnessed, the Legendary equines that had fought alongside them, were also unhappy. They instead proposed the right to separate themselves from any Pony, and reside on their own land, to be free and live peacefully in their own solitude.

Saddened that they could not reach an agreement with the equine Pokemon, but understanding their distrust and unhappiness, the Princesses granted their right to secede from any partners they didn’t get along with, and reserved them their own land for them, banishing any Pony from ever stepping a hoof on that land.

These legendaries, witnessing how well these sisters worked together, not only to save their subjects, but to also save the Pokemon living alongside their kingdom, came up with a few compromises themselves. Gathering several of their brothers and sisters, they spoke to the Princesses about another issue in hand. Now that both Pokemon and Pony will be living together in harmony, it is time for them, to also take in the responsibility that the Pokemon Legendaries share. And so, The Eldest was given the responsibilities to raise the sun during the day, and the Youngest to help raise the Moon at night. For, in order for their rule to have any effect on Pokemon, they must have Legendary power in their hoof as well.

And so, a new, delicate balance between Pokemon and Pony, Nature and Civilization, was formed. This balance of sharing, compromising, harmony, and trust, lasted many centuries, and the Ponies and Pokemon soon grew to depend on one another, and flourish. Even the Legendaries that put themselves in the Princesses power, formed a bond with them. All was peaceful, and full of bliss.

But, it was not to last, as one of the Sisters begins to show signs of corruption...
