And, I do wanna make a mini side-comic adventure/written fic (depending on my schedule  starting Monday) about how this is celebrated in Greyzone and how it all started. It will mainly focus around the main crew, with a few side characters popping in, but I think I might take this chance to give light to other characters that has been created by various friends specifically for Greyzone.

I've also decided to let others add in their character, if they wish. How they will be used in this (whether be just a background character, or later reoccurring, or even have a bigger role within the minicomic/fic) will be up to me to decide, once I have the full plan and story down.

Valentines day in Greyzone is named after Prof. Leonard Valentine, a Naturalist, who was following the migration patterns of Luvdiscs, and discovered the location of the river, which they swim upstream from, to get to their place of their birth, to breed. If it wasn't for his original discovery, others would not have made the trek to witness the migration in the spring, which laid the foundations of building Emerald City. To this day. Luvdiscs still swim up the river, and engineers even kept this in mind when building their dam, having built a special hole that they open, to let the luvdiscs through. When they do come, the whole river seems to turn pink, and many pokemon await by the bridges to see this, or go along the river bank, which gets covered by a layer of heartscales, from the sheer amount of luvdisk that swim through. Many shops collect and harvest these to sell, or use in decorating their craft, so it's a big business day for many stores. Of coarse, legend has it, if you and your lover find these heartscales, especially one from a shiny luvdisk, you two are bound to be together forever. Valentines day is one of Emerald city's busiest, most celebrated holidays, and it's also the first sign of the spring equinox nearing.

It was a dark point in my life, but thank you for all the support and kind words. I may have not replied to any of them, but I did read them all, and they did help. My family was also there to cheer me up a bit, and although I'm still doubtful in myself when it comes to finding a job, I'm going to continue my search in hopes to someday actually get hired. For now, I'm going to occupy myself with classes, and drawing.

Thank you all again... Sometimes, kind words is all anyone needs in their lowest point of their lives, and I am happy to see that I have so many friends online who are willing to help me in that way. c:

I went to a nearby subway to apply for a job. I've been feeling worthless and helpless all week, because of the same reasons; bills piling up, and I still can't do shit to contribute. Even when I try, and apply both online and in person, I never get past the first job interview. It's always 'we found someone else' or 'the position has been filled'. It's been bringing me down, but I always wear a smile and be bright and happy and energetic the rare chances I do get a job interview.

My sister said to keep pushing forward, and to insist that I am perfect for the job, and that they'll come around and hire me. So, I kept that in mind, as I went in.

It was the worst interview of my life, and it only lasted 2 minutes. I tried to be happy and cheery, as I answered his questions truthfully. But the more I answered, the more he disliked me, and the more I realized how utterly under-qualified I am for any job, even a fast-food restaurant. By the end of it, he told me that I have absolutely no redeeming qualities that would benefit taking the chance to hire me, then sent me on my way. Faking a smile, and telling him I understand, and good luck with his search, I left the restaurant... I started crying the way back home about halfway there.

There's no denying he's right. I mean, my GPA is crap, my experience is nearly nonexistent, and all I have going for me is that I take orders just fine, and I'm willing to do even the smallest of jobs just to earn money. But, who doesn't?

It's one thing to get constant emails about it, but... hearing someone say that to my face... I'm starting to wonder, what's the point of me being here? What's the point of me to continue to struggle like a floundering fish, trying to reach water, trying to benefit my family in any way at all, if there's nothing for me to show, or offer?

Drawing? I failed at that already. My stuff is mediocre, at best, and unless I get real training from it, I won't ever get past the level I'm stuck on. I've tried getting professional help, and all I got out of that is a huge debt, and nothing to pay, or show for it.

Writing? Fuck no. Yeah, I got some good ideas, but my English skills are crap. Apparently, I can't tell the  difference between plot structures, or symbolism, or whathaveyou when I read, and any creative writing I do have is heavily crippled by all the roleplaying I've done, making myself form extremely bad habits.

I'm basically stuck. I can't get better at anything, because I have no money for the training, or the supplies that would pay for it. I can't get a job because my lifetime of slacking and inexperience makes people doubtful of ever giving me a chance. Me being in this family is just draining all the money out of it in bills, car repairs, school supplies, and food.

....For the first time in a long time.... I really wish I would just... stop existing... not die, but.... just close my eyes and disappear. Like I was never around. No memory of me, no single trace of me left..... just gone.

I don't plan about doing anything about these feelings... if anything, I;m just going to curl up and sob for a few hours... So, if anyone worries, or really cares at all, you don't have to worry about me. I'll be fine eventually. Just needed a place to vent.

Ok, before people assume i'm just against change, or something, let me make one thing clear; I have no problem with change. Change is a necessity of life, and what keeps stories fresh. It keeps plots going, and keeps the attention of the viewers.

However.

How change is used, can be a double edged sword. it can be great, or it can shit all over itself, much how I feel Hasbro and the writers are doing now.

For the longest time, I've been... indifferent with Twilight. The only issue i've ever had about her is, that she walking the blade's edge into becoming a Mary Sue (and not the good, interesting kind either). But, the writers have, for the most part, balanced her out throughout these 3 seasons very well, so her flaws keep her grounded, believable, and strangely realistic, personality wise (which is ironic, since she's a candy colored unicorn).

...but turning her into a princess.... into a fucking ALICORN... Not only pushes her over the cliff of believably, and into the dark depths of Mary Suedom, along side Alice from the resident evil movies and bella fucking swan, it's also shitting all over the already vague, and mysterious mytholigy the writers have been working on for 3 fucking seasons on Alicorns and their origins.

Since the very beginning, we are lead to believe Alicorns are simply born that way, into royalty, and having wings, along with immense power and immortality. We could of assumed back then that maybe Alicorn do earn their wings though tough trials, because so little was clear about them.

But then, Cadence came along. In the last two episodes of season 2, we see her as a young teenage filly, sporting her wings as she babysits Twilight. Because of this, we are now to assume that alicorns are BORN with wings, unless she somehow gained her wings at a very young age (which, from what we are hearing in season 3, with Twilights trials so far, is very unlikely). Cadence's mere existance screws over the mythology behind Alicorns, and now, with the introduction of the crystal kingdom, her very own origins are coming into question. Is she from the Crystal Kingdom? Or is she a decedent of their royalty? If she is, where is her royal linage? Is she related to Sombra? If she's directly from the Crystal Kingdom, does that make her over 1000 years old? If so, how do alicorns age, if she was seen as a teenager when she was with twilight??

And now, with Twilight becoming a princess, and an Alicorn, the writers have once again, fucked over the alicorn mythology within it's very own series.

I'm sorry for all the cursing, but this just royally pisses me off. Why ruin a good, modest, decent character like Twilight sparkle, as well as the Alicorn mythology being set up for 3 fucking seasons, just to give wings to a fucking character, and sell more fucking toys???

-sigh- Even so, I'll still watch MLPFIM, and finish off the season... But, if this continues on, I really really hope season 4 is it's last... because with the way the writers are going... I know I'm just going to be into more disappointment.

eyup. With New years coming, I'm looking for a new animated icon. But, since I'm not that great with icons, I need someone with really good pixel animation skills, willing to do an art trade with me.

I'm not entirely sure what I want as an icon just yet... a part of me wants an animated one with Tuffy doing something, or Rascal. Or, maybe another trotting one, but for Buckthorn. I figure, with him, they'll need an animated Big Macintosh Gif for a reference.

Maybe even one for Mystic Stone, but that might be way too difficult to turn into a trotting gif.

I keep getting messages, and even notes asking me to give Spike pokemon. So, in order to handle this all at once, instead of answering each one individually, and to inform any others who might be curious, I will explain here and now why I'm not going to give Spike any pokemon.

The most important reason why I'm not giving him pokemon is because of him being a dragon. Because, in this version of Equestria, Dragon types and dragons are very similar to one another, much like the Ponyta and Blitzle evolution branch. But, unlike the Ponies, Dragons don't just share genetic similarities with just one or two pokemon, they share a whole type and element. Giving him pokemon would be morally wrong, because it is giving him ownership of a creature who is like him in many aspects. It would be like giving a Pony a Ponyta or Blitzle, and that would be way too close to Slavery.

The second reason given is because of his age. I am aware that he's gone through 'puberty', so to speak, but that doesn't mean he's at the proper age. By analyzing the episode 'Secret to my access' and ' The great Dragon Migration', my hypothesis of how dragons age is this:
  All dragons go through a natural right of passage, of sorts, when their will is tested,
  on whether they will be more monster, than dragon. When they get to a certain age,
  they get the Hording Growth spurt. If they give in to their greed, they will become
  big, but remain monsters of pure instinct, which will be more animalistic. But, if they
  overcome it, they shrink back to the size they were before, and they will grow into
  their full size naturally, as time passes. This is also why the younger dragons test each
   other's will with the game 'King of The Horde', to see who has both the physical strength
   to claim the horde, but also the strength of will not to let it overcome their senses and
   regress.
Although spike has gone through the Horde stage, he's still hasn't grown past his baby dragon age., and size. He's too young to have pokemon, and even then, being because he IS a dragon, he can't have pokemon anyways.

 But, just because he doesn't have pokemon, it doesn't mean he's going to be left out completely. He still helps Twilight, and her pokemon whenever he can, and I am tinkering with the idea that because he IS a dragon, and closer to pokemon, he might be able to talk to them, like all dragons can.

So, there are my reasons why I don't plan to give Spike, or any dragons, any pokemon. I know this might anger a few people, but this is what I've had my mind set to. Please respect my ideals in this matter, and although I won't change my mind about this, I will respect yours.

With thanksgiving over, and after all the requests I was able to complete I am completely braindead and pooped out. But, december's holiday festivities always seems to inspire something in artistic/creative people, so lets see how I will do then.

For now, I'm just gonna laze about, and think about what I'm going to do when I feel active again. Kinda wanna draw a more detailed map for Greyzone for the group, if I ever plan on starting it. I also have a few good ideas for the Pokemon/pony cross over fanfic and vectors in mind. that I have to start setting up for. Thank god I found Ginger Nix on Gaiaonline to edit my craptacular writing into something more pleasing and sensible. x_x

And, by 'Evolution', I mean how something as simple as a silly idea to parody an existing media, and over the course of 3 years, slowly changing it into it's own series, with it's own world mechanics, characters, and continuity.

It's 34 seconds of complete and utter silliness. If you look through the playlist of it's first season ( [link] ) you can see from episode 1-6, it's basically the same, with random silliness, and introduction of characters/objects one wouldn't think would turn out to be characters. But, once the episode where Pumpkin gets carved happens, a real sense of continuity and plot starts to happen. From then on, every little things, or small detail in the backgrounds plays an important point in the continuation of the story, and even the main characters start to change physically (though not so much personallity wise) looking much less like the original characters they were originally parodying. In other words, it was evolving into something else completely.

By the season's end, when Happy Winter friends finishes, we get a whole new cast of characters, and when Pumpkin gets his legs, he seems to be the new plot-moving device for the most part of season 2.

If you compare season 1 to season 2, you can see a vast difference in pace, overall mood, design of the characters, and a great focus on continuity in season 2 that I haven't seen in a web series in a very long time. The series focuses more on Pumpkin, and his budding relationship with Squib, more than they do with Baman and Piderman, but it's more because his story is vastly affectiong everyone else's in the series. If it wasn;t for him, they wouldn't of met Tuba's dad, or gone on 'the journey', got squib into their world, or interacted as much as they do now with 'the other guys' living in their basement. He also seems to have a mental.spiritual/psychic connection with the newest addition to the cast, a Ghost girl (who is completely adorable, and cannot wait to see more of her, and her infatuation with piderman<3 ) who seems to have come out of the 'happy winter friends' snowflake wish that brought him back and gave him legs in the first place. I'm hoping now that the ghost girl is introduced, season 3 will focus more on other characters. As much as I find Pumpkin and squibs relationship absolutely adorable ( watch 'squib week [link] ) this series is called 'baman and piderman' and as much as they do still run the show, I wish they would pull the plot along themselves instead of focusing on the current popular pairing.

Speaking of pairings, this series has the weirdest couplings I've seen so far.

Baman is dating Tuba.

Squib and Pumpkin obviously have a thing.

And now, Piderman and Ghost girl seem to have something developing.

The weirdest part is, I support every one of these, even if they make no sense. x_x

So, if you wanna watch a series that changes vastly over time, and gives you a real feel of growth and development, I highly recommend you to check out Baman and Piderman. The episodes are short, ranging from 34 seconds, to 4 or 5 minutes. ou do have to have a bit of a childish sense of humor, since most opf the gags and jokes here are elementary school silliness, but it is fun, and safe to show and watch anywhere~

After much poking, prodding, yelling, sobbing, praying, and devil worship, I was able to fix the scanner, as well as the connection problem to the wifi. I am back to drawing!

And, it's all my little sisters fault. Dad's in Mexico, so I don't know when I can afford to get a new one.

This royally sucks, because I've recently drawn so many characters for Grey zone, and the next few pages....

This means no Grey zone for a while, unless you guys are alright with me writing up the chapters instead, at least for now, until I can somehow gather the money for a new scanner.

Now that all that's said and done, what have I learned?

Don't meddle into other people's affairs. Period. x_x It's hard for me to do, since at times, I am very outspoken, and when I see someone doing wrong to another person, I feel a personal need to step up and help them out. On the internet, that backfires way more than in real life, and I just need to accept the fact the best thing I can do is report, instead of whatever the heck I did this time.

I would like to apologize to T, if she did feel I was attacking her, or calling her out. In a way, I was, and I can understand why she retaliated the way she did. I guess we both need to learn to control our tempers and find more peaceful ways to resolve arguments. I know I certainly learned my lesson. >_<;

But, because of this, I got to meet some of the nicest people I could of ever hoped to run into on the internet. They pointed out what I did wrong in ways I can both understand, and appreciate their input. I also gained some watchers, and new friends I can stay in communication with. There's always that silver lining. c:

Now that that's done with, time to talk about what I plan for the future!

Well, for one thing, I really need to start drawing the pages for Greyzone. I recently downloaded lots of awesome gimp brushes and tones to help me give it a more Manga style look, and I'm excited to see how that's going to look. Also in Greyzone news, I am currently working on drawing out maps of what Emerald city looks like, and depending on the feedback, it will also be the town map for the Greyzone roleplay group that I will hopefully launch. In the end, it's all about what people say, and whether or not they plan on joining.

I also plan on doing more pokemon/pony cross over vectors, and maybe even a small fanfic explaining that crossover universe. This will mostly depend on the recent pole I got up, but so far, Luna and Lugia seem to be winning. I'm not surprised, since Rulers Of The Tide was one of my very first 1k+ views from my pokemon/pony cross over series of vectors.

What's it going to be about though, is a secret. > 3 > You're just going to have to wait and see when I'm done with it.

I normally try to keep myself away from strangers dramas on Dev.Art, but... this kinda hit close to home, seeing how badly I was bullied in the past.

This all started with a tumblr post, which I cannot show here because  I can't for the life of me find it in the madness of my dashboard. But, it was from Artists confessions, and it said a user was a friend of T, and she was nice to her, until she found out her race. Then, she began being mean to her, and they are no longer friends anymore.

Curious, I clicked on the source that sent me to Ts page, and I didn't see a racists, I just saw a person struggling with cyberbullying, along with real life bullying. She even wrote a journal explaining the false accusations, and where they probably rooted from, (she did call someone the N word when they were picking on her apparently, out of anger and being hurt) as well as give links to people who are being bullied currently, so they can find online help and support. Seeing her be selfless, I kinda blindly went to her side, and added her to my watch list...

But then... I started reading some of the responses she didn't block. And, it got clearer and clearer to me, there is more to all this than I originally let myself believe.

What finally put the final nail in the coffin was these responses I found in her anti-bullying deviation.

Someone stated that, although they find the campaign to be a great cause that they love, they feel just drawing anime pictures won't be enough. T responds harshly, going as far as calling that person an argumentative twit... I felt she was going a bit too far, and pointing out name calling was bullying behavior itself, and she just ended up blocking me.

It just... It makes me so mad that just because someone is supposed to be promoting something good, like Anti-bullying, they think they can explode on anyone, and think it's alright. I know I'm probably jumping to conclusions, since she's probably at a very delicate state, and it's understandable if she thinks something as little as a difference of opinion is actually an attack... but, I just got this impression this person is completely two-faced...

Am I wrong to think this? Or, am I only thinking this because I stood up for her, and believed she was a very good person, only to be proven wrong?

Well... I guess it doesn't matter now. She hid all my comments, as well as blocked me. I really did admire her at first, but now... I don't know. I guess you can never be too sure about anyone anymore.

And, here's going to be my little review about it.

Keep in mind, I've only watched the 2003 series that started on 'thefoxbox', and watched the movies, I have not read the original comics (though I did do a quick wiki read) or watched the 80's cartoon, aside one or two episodes on youtube. So, my review will probably matter diddly-squat to most of you, and it's all based on my personal opinions.

When I first heard there was going to be a new TMNT reboot, I was a bit excited about it. I've always liked the Ninja turtles, starting around age 10 or so, and watched the 4kids version every saturday morning (which is one of the few things 4kids did right). As more things became leaked and announce, my opinions went from excited, to 'meh', to 'god, I hope they don't Micheal Bay this and turn it into crap'. By the time it finally aired, I was just hoping that it won't be a total raping of the franchise.

And... I was thankfully surprised. The animation, at times, can be very cool, and styalized, borrowing a lot from Anime, such as certain expressions, the red anger vein on the foreheads, and the more blushing line/big cute dramatic eyes when the turtles are begging for something from Master Splinter. But, in certain other times, the style of animation can be a bit distracting, and as I watched it, the way the turtles are lit is a bit brighter than it's background, making them stand out way too much.

Speaking of the turtles, I do like their new style of looks, aside of a few little issues here and there. Donnie's gap in between his teeth is also a bit distracting, even if I do find it cute (seeing as I also have a gap in my own front teeth) and you can tell by certain fighting sequences that they removed the turtles eyes, to give them the classical 'white eye' look from the comics and 2003 series, specifically made for the trailers. It just adds confusion to what style they are supposed to be sticking to.
  But, I do like the little changes they added, to give each turtle their own individuality, aside from the bananas. Raph's cracked shell on the front really suits him, as does Mikey's freckles.
  
As for Master Splinter's design, I actually really like his more youthful look. In previous generations, he seemed a lot more aged, giving him an air of wisdom. Now, he seems to be a much younger version of himself, without his cane, but with all his knowledge and experiences in tact. This series also follows the 80's version of his origin, where he is Hamato Yoshi himself, transformed into a rat, instead of his pet rat. Personally, I like this route a little bit better, making his feud and anger against the Shredder all that more personal and serious. There's also a scene, where he explains why he left Japan, and although I won't spoil it for anyone, I'd like to point out that I reeeaaally hope they are going to go do what i think they are going to do about his lost loved one, referring to the 2003 series as well as the 80's.

April O'neil here is now a 15 year old girl, whom Donnie has a crush on. I read that the producers and writers made her this way, because it would be a little too strange that a grown woman would be hanging around a bunch of teenage turtles. Before, it probably seemed alright, and why I thought the turtles acted more in their 20's than teens. But, since they do act more like teenagers now, I'm pretty relieved they saw how odd it would be if they kept April an adult around teenagers. From what I did see of her, she's no helpless damsel, trying to get away from her cell by tricking the guards (and sadly failing miserably) and also vowing vengeance. As I read on to what they plan to do with her in the future, I just hope they don't give her too much power, making her into another mary sue, like Sari Sumdac from transformers. They are going to need to balance her out very carefully, but I do like what I'm seeing so far.

All I can say about the Krang is... They are creepy as fuck. Their robot bodies, how they talk, the dead, lifeless way they look at you, EVERYTHING ABOUT THEM IS FUCKING CREEPY. YOU ARE RIGHT, MIKEY. THAT IS ALL KINDS OF WRONG. That being said, I love them, and can't wait to see more of them and their mutagen mcguffen plot moving goo.

We only get a small glimpse of the Shredder at the end, but from what I did see, he is Bad ass as ever, and the Foot seem like the ones from the 80's movies, which I am also loving.

The writing is good, the dialog is also good, the comedy did get a chuckle out of me from time to time, and the Voice acting is.... so-so. Leo's voice seems out of place, and too deep to be that of a teenager. Raph has a bit of an excuse, since all his reincarnations has a gruffness about it, but Don's voice is aDORKable, as is Mikey's. Maybe it's something I'm going to have to get used to.

So, my final verdict is.... It could of been a lot worse. There are a lot of good things, such as references to the many different versions of the turtle there has been over the years that can make old fans nostalgic and happy, but also a lot of changes that might draw them away, in order to please the newest wave of turtle fans. I'd recommend others to check it out, at least once and give their own opinion on it. Personally, I enjoyed it, and will probably be waiting for each new episode, if nothing else is on.
